Marxism helps Christianity

“A spectre is haunting Europe—the spectre of Communism. All the Powers of old Europe have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre: Pope and Czar, Metternich and Guizot, French Radicals and German police-spies.
Where is the party in opposition that has not been decried as Communistic by its opponents in power? Where is the Opposition that has not hurled back the branding reproach of Communism, against the more advanced opposition parties, as well as against its reactionary adversaries?”

If Marx is right and there has always been opposition between the oppressed and oppressors (which I am inclined to agree) then how do we invent a new kind of balance? A new kind of balance where there is no room for either. A new kind of society where people help others and when those that are helped help others that they know in need. This isn’t a new idea. But why can’t we adopt this approach? Why can’t all of society agree upon this? Maybe it’s our ego’s. Maybe we think we are too good to be weak. that if we depend on another that we might somehow fall apart. that others might think if we reach our hands out for help that we are just some moochers waiting for our next free fix. Maybe it’s that some just don’t care. that they have been so jaded by life, decisions, and other decisions of others and how they are affected by that. But, I believe we can change the world. Those that care. Those that want to give back. Those that think that we are here to stay and not leave. That God has empowered us to change everything and rediscover what it looks like to live out Christ in all ways everywhere we go…
