songs of mourning

this isn’t a moment for self-deprecation. but a moment to realize that life doesn’t always work out as we plan. sometimes that can be a good thing or not seem so good based upon your desires, but we need songs to lead us on, to heal us, to remind us we are not alone. this song ing particular is a good song to mourn to. most would say ‘rock on!’ but i want to add by saying we should mourn forward as you let these words seep in, find healing.

one of tom petty’s b-side offerings. a truly holy piece of work. gosh, could listen to it for hours. he is a brilliant artist.
